Can't say if that's true, but I decided to try and turn it off. So I've found a setting called " Intel Virtualization Technology " in my motherboard's settings under the CPU Configuration tab, set it to "disabled" and pressed "save and exit". The PC powered off and back on. When it loaded into my desktop everything was very slow.

I decided that I wanted to run a virtual box on the machine so I went into the Bios to enable the Intel Virtualization Technology. After I did this I rebooted and imidiately heard my system fans ramp up extremely high. After I logged in my monitoring software told me the CPU was under little to no load but the temp was at 89c.
